Community Safety Event

Community safety affects all of us, and every criminal act has the potential to violate our individual and collective sense of safety. The Pocket Community Association is happy to host a Community Safety Townhall event.

This event will bring together Pocket residents and our local community policy officers, and officials from the TTC to engage in dialogue about key concerns around safety in our community and how best to address them. We hope you will consider joining us to discuss any topics around safety in our community.

Please register for the event using the link below - however, registration is not mandatory so feel free just to show up too!

Where: Auditorium of the Wandering Spirit School, 16 Phin Avenue

When: Saturday February 24 1:00-3:00 pm

Register HERE.

Skating in Phin Park

The PCA Executive is thrilled to announce that the Phin Park rink is now ready for skating, as of Saturday, January 20. Skating conditions will be weather dependent.
A big thank-you goes to the Pocket Rink Team, who've again committed to creating and maintaining a surface for skating and shinny! Special thanks to John Koufis and Corey Pollock for leading us by braving the cold and wind this week! Though the ice surface is a bit rough now, it promises to become smoother as the Team does additional flooding and scraping.
All ages and abilities are welcome--please be safe and enjoy!

Pumpkin Parade

The annual Pumpkin Parade is back for another exciting night of jack-o-lantern joy and the spirit of the spook! Each year after the sun sets on November 1, kids converge in Phin Park to see The Pocket’s Jack-o-Lanterns shine one last time. It’s a fun way for neighbours to celebrate an end to Halloween together and a simple way for communities to dispose of their pumpkins, with the support of the City of Toronto and our local councilor.

Come on out and celebrate with your neighbours. The PCA will be handing out hot chocolate, snacks and blaring some tunes!
