2nd Annual Pocket Food Drive

It's that time of year again! Please consider donating non-perishable food items for families in need using the Pocket Food Drive, an initiative by Pocket resident Kim McFadden. Donations will go to Eastview Neighbourhood Community Centre's food bank on behalf of The Pocket.

Please drop off any items in the bin on the porch at 68 Seymour Ave, until Dec.1st. 2013.

Here are the most needed items:

Baby formula & food Beans & lentils Canned fruits & vegetables Canned fish & meat Cans of soup or hearty stew Dried pasta & tomato sauce Peanut butter Rice Canned, powdered or Tetra Pak cartons of milk Grocery cards from No Frills

Kim McFadden has set a goal of 400 items for our second community food drive (last year we got around 300). Kim has posted a thermometer on the bulletin board at Phin Park to keep track of our progress towards this goal.

For a fifth year in a row, food banks in the GTA saw over a million client visits (from Daily Bread Food Bank).

Thank you for supporting this important cause!
