The city's plans to improve Phin Park in 2024/2025

  • Remove the sloping patches and improve the overall grade on the path that runs from the SW to the NE corner
  • Remove the guardrail on the W side of the park and replace it with armour stone (safer, more durable and attractive)
  • Add benches around the wading pool
  • Plant a few native trees on the W side to replace ones that died or have been assessed as dying
  • Remove/replace the log seating and retaining walls in the playground
  • The south entrance will be resurfaced to allow for better access and eliminate the mud pit that is there now.
  • Upgrade the playground equipment

Note: This work will be done after community consultation (More information to come on how to get involved and have your say). And, most of this work will be done in the fall.
